1. Registration and personal data
Ordering from the online store does not require registration. By registering in the online store, you can make your purchases faster in the future and view your orders. The user ID is the email address provided during registration, the password is determined by the customer during registration. The user ID and password are personal. The customer is responsible for keeping their user ID and password safe and for ensuring that they do not end up in the knowledge or possession of third parties. The customer is responsible for all use of their user ID and password and for any costs or payments that may arise from this.
The customer must provide the necessary information required to use the service in the online store. The merchant has the right to process the customer’s personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and other legislation. The customer’s data is stored in the online store’s customer register. The merchant does not disclose the customer’s personal data to external parties for direct advertising, distance selling or other direct marketing. The customer’s data is deleted from the customer register when it is no longer needed.
2. Ordering
Products are mainly ordered online at kateria.cpu.fi via the shopping cart. All orders are confirmed by email, which states the price of the order and the ordered products. Receiving an order confirmation requires providing an email address when ordering. The customer agrees to the terms of use and delivery of the online store in force with each order, as well as the special terms and conditions applicable to the product being ordered.
3. Payment methods
Products are paid for when ordering. Online payment is made via a secure connection via the Verifonen service. The service includes the online payment service of Finnish banks and Nets Oy’s card payment service (Visa and MasterCard) and the MobilePay service.
4. Prices and VAT
The valid price for orders placed in the online store is the one displayed in the online store’s price list at the time of ordering. The right to change prices is reserved. All prices are indicated in euros (EUR). The product prices displayed in the online store include the currently valid VAT.
5. Delivery time and method
If the product is in our warehouse, we will ship the product within 1-3 working days of the order being registered in our system.
6. Returns and exchanges
The customer has a 14-day right of exchange and return in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. We will not accept returns more than 14 days after delivery. The product to be returned/exchanged and the original product packaging must be in the same condition as when it was received. All costs arising from the return/exchange are paid by the returner, unless there is a clear error in the delivery caused by the supplier.
Product returns are always negotiated separately with the supplier. We ask the customer to contact the supplier before returning the product
7. Service maintenance, usability and error situations
The merchant will do its best to ensure that the operation of the online store is error-free and uninterrupted. The merchant has the right to interrupt the online store due to a change, renovation or technical reason related to the online store or due to renovation, installation or maintenance work on the telecommunications network or other similar reasons or if required by law or other official regulations. The interruptions are aimed at being scheduled so that they do not cause unreasonable inconvenience to the customer.
The merchant is not responsible for errors that result from the interruption of telecommunications connections or other telecommunications-related services provided by a third party or for errors in these services. The merchant is also not responsible for errors that result from the customer using the online store in violation of instructions or regulations or that are otherwise caused by the customer.
8. Data security
The online store is protected using the SSL protocol. The customer is responsible for the proper management of the information security of its own information systems. The merchant keeps all information concerning the customer or sent by the customer confidential. The merchant organizes the information security of its online store in a generally acceptable and efficient manner and strives to prevent unauthorized access to its information systems with appropriate technical solutions.
9. Equipment, software and connections
The customer is responsible for the acquisition, functionality and costs of the equipment, software and network connections required for using the online store. They must not cause disruption or other harm to the online store or other network users.
10. Liability for damages
The Merchant is only liable to the customer for direct damages that it has negligently caused by breach of contract. If it can be determined that the Merchant is at fault, the customer may be compensated for the costs unduly charged to the customer in the online store.
The Merchant is not obliged to pay damages or other indirect or direct compensation or refunds resulting from the disruptions or errors mentioned in paragraph 6.
11. Force majeure
A force majeure event releases the Merchant from its obligations related to the online store if it prevents the performance of the online store or unreasonably hinders it. Force majeure is considered to be a fire, earthquake, flood, explosion, strike or other work stoppage, order of an authority, disruption in energy supply, shortage of raw materials or supplies, cable or other telecommunications disruption caused by or resulting from an external party, or other similar reason that was not known and could not reasonably have been anticipated. The merchant will notify the online store of the force majeure on the website immediately after it has occurred, if notification is possible.
12. Changing the terms of use and delivery
The merchant is entitled to change these terms of use and delivery of the online store after notifying the changes in the online store well in advance before the changes come into force.
13. Resolution of disputes
Any disagreements during the contract will always be resolved primarily through mutual negotiations. If an agreement cannot be reached in the negotiations, the matter will be submitted to the district court for resolution in accordance with Finnish law.
